Earbug Mission

Streaming music has created challenges for artists and benefits for music fans. But even for fans, there is bad with the good, as music fans remain largely isolated and disconnected from each in the streaming world, both within each service and across different ones.

Music is the most social of all art forms, and while individuals can certainly enjoy music alone, it's our experience that the greatest joys in music arise from shared human music experiences - everything from vibing with others at a concert to sharing a great new song you've discovered with a friend, or playing songs at a party with friends, arguing the merits of the greatest album by an artist you cherish, and making a mixtape for a loved one.

Meanwhile, streaming platforms seem very focused on catalog size and algorithms, and they do very little to connect humans with other humans in the natural ways we know bring us joy. These platforms are also built as walled garden ecosystems, so they don't work with each other, further dividing family and friend groups onto musical desert islands.

Earbug exists to enable the natural human connections around shared music experiences that bring us all together with positive energy, both within individual streaming services and across the different streaming services.

We've kicked things off with features like jukeboxes and playlists that work seamlessly across the different music streaming services, along with content like fresh articles about your favorite musical artists. All of this comes together in the form of the best companion app for your streaming music service of choice, plus web access for guests who don't have our app for easy sharing.

Earbug is delivering human connections for streaming music. We hope you'll join us and other music fans in the Earbug community!
